"I see you"

Tonight I finally experienced AVATAR the movie, written and directed by James Cameron. I went to go see it the birthday girl, her boyfriend and the roommates. I had High expectations for this movie, which is unlike me because I've learned, "no expectations no disappointments" early on in my young adult life... Fortunately, those expectations were filled to the fullest. One word: extraordinary. I would most definitely see it again and again. As unrealistic it may possibly be, it sent out a message I think to every individual. To me, and hopefully to many others, Avatar was very real. Big ups. No wonder they won so many awards. If you haven't seen it yet, even if you're a little uneasy about going to see it, go.

get into the groove

Music can be such a revelation. Dancing around you feel the sweet sensation. We might be lovers if the rhythm's right. I hope this feeling never ends tonight. Only when I'm dancing can I feel this free.

you cannot honestly tell yourself you are completely happy until you've gotten everything sorted out. I've always been known as a wild, outgoing, free-spirited type of person. I care too much for others, and sometimes forget that I need to focus a good amount of that attention to myself. I think that over the past year... I have done that, and getting better at it. If you really got to know me well, I am also a jealous, sensitive yet forgiving person. Right now life is going pretty smoothly, facing normal struggles of a young adult college student. So I'm writing this because I needed to express how much I wanted to clear all negative ties I have with certain people, ideals, issues, and just continue to live life to the fullest but with a wider, larger, even more open mind. Coming and going from a small town on Long Island really gets you trapped in this small "bubble" of what is considered a normality when really, there is a bigger world out there. Take the tragedies in Haiti for instance, there are still a good handful amount of people who do not realize how fortunate they are and are oblivious to what's really going on in the world. Here is to my past experiences, today and the amazing future to come. My advice: forgive, forget, drink a beer and live.

we're back

Second semester of my sophomore year here at LIM College begins. I'm not as excited as I should be but I am ready to get on with it and do the damn thing. I do only have two classes tomorrow which is nice. I guess the normality of another semester has hit me and there is nothing to look forward too, Summer, yes, but I do not want to be in Bellport. I love parts of home like my family, my house, my bed and the beaches... 2009 was not a good year for me and being home. I hope that changes, along with all the other changes. Time is just flying by. I can't complain because I do feel like I've been living it up every minute here in Manhattan whether I'm laying in my bed and relaxing, reading a depressing novel or drinking more than I can handle. ;) The perks of being young. I will savory every bit of it even if I'm having a bad day. Those will be the best memories and best lessons. Thats funny.

the holiday

"I understand feeling as small and as insignificant as humanly possible, and how it can actually ache in places you didn't know you had inside you, and it doesn't matter how many new haircuts you get, or gyms you join, or how many glasses of chardonnay you drink with your girlfriends... you still go to bed every night going over every detail and wonder what you did wrong or how you could have misunderstood and how in the hell for that brief moment you could think that you were that happy. And sometimes you can even convince yourself that he'll see the light and show up at your door. And after all that, however long all that may be, you'll go somewhere new. and you'll meet people who make you feel worthwhile again. And little peices of your soul will finally come back. And all that fuzzy stuff, those years of your life that you wasted, that will eventually begin to fade."

the new addition to my life.

My new apartment is pretty.
I can't wait to move in this month and to be back in NYC.
It's definitely a good feeling knowing we found a place and don't have to worry much.
The photo right above this is my room. Kind of small but so am I.
I'll definitely be posting new photos once everything is done. :)
